How do I fix CarPlay after iOS 18.2.1 update on my iPhone?

I have updated the iPhone software to the newest version 18.2.1 and since doing this the facility to access CarPlay has disappeared. I have got a 2022 Mini Cooper. Any tips on how to get this back working would be much appreciated. I have contacted my local car garage but looking online it seems to be an Apple issue…..
