Apple Play issues in 22 Corolla

This has been happening a lot lately and sometimes when I am in areas I don’t know and really need the GPS. Everything is updated and I’ve tried new Apple cable. Any other suggestions? I have a 2022 Corolla LE, just had it serviced in December. I have extended warranty.

please give advice. I don’t want to have to hold my phone because the dash is too high to place the phone on a holder. The vent ones always fall off.

Please help. Thank you

Have you tried removing the car from CarPlay settings in the iPhone? If it continues to disconnect, I would suggest having the port on the phone examined by Apple. You can also check with Toyota to have them check on the port in the car you are connecting to. Also have them check to see if there is a software update for the radio system in the car. Each car manufacture determines how CarPlay works in their vehicles.

When I am driving and I connect to the car using the USB to USB-C cable to connect to my iPhone to use Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze, the phone keeps disconnecting from Apple Car Play. I have tried buying a new Apple cable and this keeps happening every few months. I have other friends having the same issue with their cars, various models. I was going to several appointments last week and I ended up having to hold my phone and try to drive while watching the phone to use the GPS for directions.

I have not found a decent device that allows me to place the phone on the dash or connect to the vent because the shape of the dash causes the phone to block my view for driving. I am short. I should not have to use that if Apple Car Play is available through Toyota. That is the purpose of the screen on the dash.

Everything is updated on the car and the phone. The cable works fine everywhere else. There is no dirt of debris in the USB plug of the car.

Suggestions, please?
