Why my iPad screen is turning off every 3 seconds?

saving electric is one thing but to switch down my i pads screen every 3seconds is so annoying....please sir can i have some help? Can it be set to just STAY on and not to have to tap the screen to make it come back..thanks

The iPad will only remain awake for a few seconds until the iPad is unlocked with the correct Passcode - or by TouchID/FaceID.


Once unlocked, the iPad will remain unlocked (with the screen turned-on) until expiry of the Auto-Lock period as configured in iPad settings:


Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > set as required
