Should I update my Apple Watch 7 to watchOS 11.2?

I am thinking of installing watchos 11.2 on my apple watch. But there are many complaints about the battery in watchos 11. Right now my battery lasts for 1.5 days. But after the update they say it doesn't even last 12 hours. Is this true? Should I not update my watch?

Watch os 11 update drains battery 30% faster I just updated my series 7 watch to the latest os and the battery lasts almost 30% less than before the update. I unloaded all the running apps and it's still the same. This keeps happening to phones and watches almost at every os updates.. Apple needs to have a talk with their QA and UX heads...

Updating is up to you.

I always update a day or 3 after an update comes out and in the past 8 years have had no issues.

Yes battery is effected for a few days while the background files are optimized. But after a couple of days and a force restart it is back to normal.

Yes, unless you have incompatible software on iphone.

Apple Watch uses a LOT of battery - Apple Community
