“Unsupported” =no iPhone connection in car

I have an iPhone 14 and today, I connected it to my Honda Accord stereo. I started a podcast and “Unsupported” started blinking on the stereo system screen. I couldn’t get any podcast to play, always got the same message. I tried other apps (Apple Music, Spotify, etc.) and got the same result.

Thing is this has been happening sporadically since I got the 14 (a few months ago) as well as with the iPhone 8 previous to the 14. It seems like it’s probably the car, but I’m wondering if there might be something in an iPhone that doesn’t play well with Hondas. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas of what might be going on?

Thanks

iPhone 14, iOS 18

Hardware Issues from Using USB for CarPlay:

Are you sing this hardwired, or through Bluetooth? I would thing that incompatibility would be the culprit here. So, start with updating your car's audio system (however so).

Troubleshooting CarPlay:

A. Usual Manual:

Read your driver's manual to find out more about syncing this.

B. Try being in Park:

For many, they must have their automobile in park to get this to all pair.
