So I’m in my car BT connected. I open TikTok and play a video. My screen on my car goes into “phone call” mode but it’s MY phone number and the TikTok video sound starts playing through my car stereo via the phone call from my iPhone 12 Pro Max! How is this even happening??

That’s not unusual. Some devices and manufacturers connect to data or the speaker system through a phone “call.” No call is made it’s just triggering your speaker audio.
ive had this phone for a long time, it’s never done that before, and not on any other app… but today tick tok did this and just now instagram did it as well.. I find it hard to believe that after several years, all of the sudden the componentse
Me too, but I wanna know why they decided that TikTok is not unavailable in the App Store. I guess you have to change your country on your phone or region. Somebody please help tell me why they did this. I don’t understand what the heck.

There is no getting it back. It’s a government ban on it and even if you could get it back, it wouldn’t work like it used to. They took all the teeth out of it basically I’m sorry but until the government gets this thing sorted out, it won’t be available. I’m sorry.

You cannot get it back. In the meantime, use the web version. If you did not delete it, you will still have it on your device and could continue to use it, but the fines in place for Apple and Google pertain only to downloads in the App Store.

Sorry, you have no idea what you are talking about. It did not get removed by Apple for inappropriate content. The US Government passed a law requiring China to sell TikTok to a US company because they did not want the personal information that the app collects on each user being shared with the Chinese Government. The law was passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court and included a $5,000 fine for each violation on both Google and Apple for downloads. That is why it is not in the Google Play store either.
The deadline for TikTok to be sold to another company has been extended by 75 days, but the fines that the law put in place have NOT been repealed. That is why you can now only use a previously downloaded version of TikTok or access it on the web using Safari.
Hope you have a better understanding now. Apple did not make the law, but it must follow it.
