Live Voicemail bug with Low Power Mode

I have Live Voicemail enabled on my iPhone 14 Pro on iOS 18.2.1. However there are some issues with it if Low Power Mode is on. If a call comes in and I press the voicemail icon, it works to show me a live transcription of the voicemail. However if I hang up the call, I don’t see a live transcription, and the message goes to my carrier voicemail (which I then have to call to check). But with Low Power Mode off, methods (pressing voicemail icon or hanging up the incoming call) will show me a live transcription of the message.

Note: this issue appears on my personal iPhone 14 Pro on Rogers. On that device, on the Voicemail screen there is a Call button next to Carrier Voicemail. However I don’t have this issue on my work iPhone 12 on Telus. On that device, there is no Carrier Voicemail shown, and all messages appear as live transcriptions

First, have you restarted your iPhone to troubleshoot the problem?

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.

If neither of these are the problem ask your carrier to remove visual voicemail, then add it back.

But I only have this issue on my iPhone 14 Pro with Rogers, not my iPhone 12 with a different carrier.

And to reiterate, on my iPhone 14 Pro with low power mode on, live voicemail works if I press the voicemail icon during an incoming call. But it doesn’t work if I hang up the call. However on my iPhone 12, live voicemail works in both situations with low power mode on.

So your explanation that this is an expected behaviour doesn’t make sense to me.
