Can't move file from event into sub-folder in Event in FCP 11

I'm learning Final Cut Pro and sadly I'm stuck on just file management. I have a project and the project has an event. I have created a folder in the event. With the folder highlighted I click import media and I'm able to import media. Sadly, this media doesn't show up in the folder even though I have it selected and Final Cut Pro prompt to meet import media into it.

The media is available in the event, but I can't move the media into the folder in the event. What's the point of these folders if things won't return them directly or I can't drag anything into them.

Seems like the file management part of this isn't that out very well.

The problem is that the terminology you're using is completely wrong so it's difficult to figure out what your library looks like and what you're trying to do.

Folders inside events are only used to hold keyword collections. You organize your clips (or parts of clips) in any event by giving them keywords, which puts them in a keyword collection

Please post screenshots of what you're seeing where that illustrates your layout.
