Unable to update iPhone 6 Plus

iOS 12.5.7 is the end of the update road for the iPhone 6 Plus.

If you want to run recent and current iOS versions like iOS 17 and iOS 18, you will need a new phone.

An iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus isn't capable of 13 or above; they require at least 2GB of RAM. Nobody on these boards can say if Apple's going to patch 12 again.

Sorry: the iPhone 6 Plus can’t update any higher than that. An iPhone 8 could get you a bit longer, but for future proofing I would recommend an iPhone 12 or newer.

You will not be able to update the phone. If you want keep using WhatsApp, you will need to get a new phone capable of running the latest version of WhatsApp .

And this means the WhatsApp app will no longer work on your now over 10 year old iPhone. According to WhatsApp, you will need to have an iPhone which can minimally run iOS 15.1. If this app is important to you, then it really is time to retire you very old iPhone and get a new iPhone.
