Setting up "Legacy Contact"
Tried to set-up a Legacy Contact for family.
Went through process as per instructions, at last step, got dialog, "cannot setup legacy contact"
Is the Legacy Contact plan/feature discontinued?

No, it’s still a fielded / working feature.
See if all of the “technical” requirements are satisfied:
How to add a Legacy Contact for your Apple Account - Apple Support
Thank You Chattanoogan
I'm fairly certain I followed all the steps to create a Legacy Contact, I repeated the process 3/4 times, with the same response.
Now as far as the "technical" requirements are concerned. The requirements for the recipient seems to be quite open and free.
Technically, regarding the iMac, I do not see anything other than two-factor authentication, and that is turned on.
Could the fact that my iMac is an older 2019 Intel machine (Running Sequoia 15.2) have any bearing on the problem? Family sharing on also?
Do you know where I might find any technical" requirements. When I try searching for "Legacy Contact" all the results are focused on the "Contacts" app.
I do appreciate your help, this old head is getting quite slow these days
The only “tech” requirements to which I refer were in that linked article.
Presumably the designee has a different e-mail / Apple Account from you ?
If the recipient has an Apple Account … do they meet the same listed tech requirements?
(Nothing in the article says that they need to … just a hunch)
