I have old iMac with old software Yosemite 10X how do I delete duplicated photos from back up Device
i can’t see utilities on computer like people are describing on latest software on computers
Photos' Duplicate finder was introduced in Ventura, macOS 13. You are running macOS 10.10 Yosemite, the very first OS to have the Photos app, and about eight OSs earlier than Ventura.
Are you indeed talking about Photos rather than iPhoto-- Yosemite could work with either.
Before Ventura, we used 3rd party apps like PhotoSweeper ($15) to find a zap duplicates. We also used the more powerful PowerPhotos ($30,) since it has a duplicate finder among its many features. I'm afraid that I don't know if these work with Yosemite. (I think, probably.) I know that the PowerPhotos people, in particular, are very experienced and friendly, so you could ask them about compatibility.
