how can i download tiktok

TikTok and other ByteDance apps is no longer available in the United States. Apple and Google are legally obligated to remove them from app stores under the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act. The law prohibits app stores and internet hosting services from hosting, maintaining, updating, or offering foreign adversaries in the U.S.

This means you can no longer download TikTok and any apps owned or associated with ByteDance.

You don't always get what you want. For TikTok, Congress passed a law placing fines on both Google and TikTok for allowing any downloads or redownloads and the Supreme Court upheld the law. Contact your Congressional Representatives as they are the ones that voted on your behalf.

Of course it includes you too. I don't recall anything in the law that places fines on Google and Apple for allowing downloads to everyone else except for you. Contact your Congressional Representatives that made the law and see what they can do for you. It is their job to vote on your behalf.

Congress disagrees with you and passed a law that put fines on both Google and Apple for allowing any downloads of the app. Both Apple and Google can only follow the law. Have you been in contact with your Congressional Representatives?

Even the Supreme Court upheld the law passed by Congress.

You can't. The law passed by Congress prevents both Apple and Google from allowing anyone to download or redownload the app.

Bro, according to the law passed by Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court, the solution is for TikTok to divest to a US company. That has not happened and there is no guarantee it will. Currently there are about 62 left, so we shall see. If you have any more questions about the law, feel free to contact your Congressional Representatives that placed the fines on both Google and Apple for allowing any downloads of the app.

You are not speaking to Apple.

At the moment, it is illegal for Apple to bring TikTok back to the U.S. App Store or for Google to bring TikTok back to the U.S. Google Play Store. Congress considers the Chinese Government's current level of control over TikTok to pose a potential national security risk – and their concern is now reflected in U.S. law. (A law that survived the scrutiny of the U.S. Supreme Court, at that.)

If Apple and Google broke the law, and were fined as much as $850 billion USD ($5000 for each of the 170 million U.S. TikTok users) – are you going to pay the whole $850 billion USD dollar fine, personally? Thought not.
