I have an old iMac that I am trying to print from …to my current wireless printer….. the job shows up for a second in the print queue then goes away and does not print. I think it has something to do with it wanting me to select a driver or print model and when I click auto select it does not work…? And when I click on select a driver to use… my printer series is not an option. Can you help?

One important piece of information would be of interest, the exact printer make and model.
Also, is it the macOS 12 Monterey iMac in the equipment line?
Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac? If you have they could be interfering with your WiFi access and the printer, especially a VPN.
I am thinking I may have to manually enter my printer by using my ip address…?
