My work has set up so all contacts are synced with them. It does not even show the option on my other email accounts for contacts. If I turn off this option it says all contacts will be lost. This happened to me the last time I left a company. How do I prevent this?

Data store either in the outlook app or the native iphone apps that is synced to a corporate exchange account is sandboxed.
That data is locked to the exchange environment.
If you want to keep that data after you leave your current employer, contact your IT department to ask if that is permitted by them and if so, will they export it from the server for you.

Unlike some Android devices, contacts are neither stored locally on an iPhone nor in SIM. They are synced to an email account that you have Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
If you have a corporate email account added through a profile on your device, please check with your organization's system administrator.
Everything store in. Exchange/Outlook is the property of the company. it does not belong to you.
You should NEVER store any personal data on company systems.

This is simply not true. Contacts are certainly stored locally on the iPhone because I can still see them when my iPhone is offline.
I can’t contact corp, I’m leaving them. I need the contacts transferred to one of my other emails. How do I add the contacts to one of my other emails?
