M4 not compatible with some (or many) audio interfaces?

I have an MacBook Pro M4, and a Yamaha Montage M and a Akai MPC Live2 which both are audio interfaces next to the instrument itself. Both of them are not compatible with M4. They are not showing up on the M4 as an audio device. Does the problem lie with Mac?

The Yamaha Montage M audio interface works on a Mac M3 running Mac OS Sequoia. So it is not the OS system that is the problem.

Can someone clear this out, please?

Thanks,

Stef

All 3 devices are on the latest software version available.

Yesterday the strangest thing happend on yet another audio interface (Behringer UMC 1810). It worked only on the left USB C ports. On the right one it did nothing and didn’t even show up in audio/midi setup.

In the meantime i tried all 3 interfaces on all 3 ports with different cables, no luck. Only the Behringer works on the USB C ports on the left.
