Unresponsive Forward Slash key on my iMac

My forward slash and question mark key has stopped working! I can't get on websites that I need to as most have forward slashes! Is there another hidden keyboard somewhere

Try this to relocate the crumbs and crud: How to clean the keyboard of your MacBook or MacBook Pro - Apple Support


A text replacement can provide a different way to get at those characters.


Try the keyboard from a different and newly-created login. This on the possibility this is a software configuration and not a hardware error;


Try a different keyboard. This too checks for a software configuration. This is also the fix for many bad keyboards.

Does that key produce nothing at all? If it produces the wrong characters, what are they? You might just have the wrong input source active.


If nothing, then most likely you should get a new keyboard. But you can also make a custom layout which puts those characters on a working key with
