Image is an "Unsupported File Format" in Notes... but only on one device!
I have a handful of different articles/notes in the Apple Notes app that are a combination of text and images. While the text is all self generated, the images are my personal photography, most of which I just screenshot from either my iMac, my iPad, or my iPhone... depending on which device I was working on at the time over the past 5 years. There are hundreds of photos - no way of remembering which was captured on which device.
So back in October I traded in my iPhone 11 for an iPhone 16 Pro. Since then I've noticed that looking at some of these articles/notes on the iPhone 16 Pro I can see all of the text and photos. However on roughly half of the photos if I tap on it to make it full screen, I see "Unsupported File Format" instead of the image. It is very random on which image will do this, or actually show the image. When I swipe to go back to the full article, the photo is able to be seen.
So going over to my iPad (iPad Pro 12.9" 6th generation) or my iMac (M4) when I open any of the articles in Notes and click on the exact same images that say Unsupported File Format on the iPhone, they show up perfectly on these two devices.
Yes, all three devices have the latest and greatest updates. (My OCD keeps me from going more than a couple days without checking. haha) Besides, this has been happening on this iPhone since I got it in October. I feel I am simply missing something in the settings, but I'm at a loss at this point.
Help? Thoughts? Suggestions? Or is this just "Tough luck, buddy... deal with it"?
