Upgrading SSD on 2020 iMac

The internal drive of the 2020 iMac cannot be replaced.

The best you can do is add an external drive if you need additional storage.

If you put that M.2 NVMe SSD into an external Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C (USB 3.1 Gen 2) enclosure; then used Disk Utility to format your new external drive, I would think so.

But you can't use it to upgrade internal storage.

+1 2020 iMacs internal storage cannot be upgraded, you can ONLY purchase external storage!!
