How to Safeguard iCloud Files Before Erasing My MacBook Pro for Repair?
I have two computers (a MacBook Pro and and an iMac). All my files are stored locally on my MacBook Pro and are also uploaded to iCloud. I access these files on my iMac from my office at work. I noticed that my files are not stored locally on my iMac. That has not been an issue until now.
I need to send in my MacBook Pro to get repaired (the battery is dying). I want to erase my MacBook Pro before sending it. I think that erasing my MacBook Pro will cause all my files to be erased from iCloud, right? How do I avoid that from happening?
Thank you in advance for the responses. I understand that some folks will question me for wanting to erase all my files from MacBook Pro before sending it in. I get it. I may be a bit paranoid. But there is also the risk that it will need to be wiped when it is being repaired. So let's just assume that it will be wiped. Thanks!
