PayPal scam with access to iphone control

So my 82 year old mother fell for a PayPal scam where she received a call informing her of fraudulent charges on her PP acct. The caller told her she needed to authorize reversal of payment (I know I know arghh) but she was getting confused so they kindly sent her a link, which she clicked. They then had control of her iPhone and had her agree to the charge reversal which was really authorizing payment. When they mentioned a bank account associated with her PP (that has since changed names) she started to suspect something fishy. She hung up. Contacted PP who is working on reversing the $1500 charge. She later saw that her funds were withdrawn from the bank account which luckily was only $500. Out of embarrassment she did not inform me of this incident for 3 days.

At this point she has changed passwords on all her bank accounts and CC and email and we have secured our t mobile account (which is mine)

I’m not sure if I should be concerned about my info as her phone is on my account and not sure what to do next??? Should we reset her phone to factory settings? Would this wipe out any malware that may have been installed?? She barely uses the phone so I don’t think she has much on it but idk. I’m obviously not well versed in this stuff either.

thanks for any direction
