Can I keep my Live Photos in any way if I change off an Apple phone?

I’ve become increasingly unimpressed with the camera and image processing on my iPhone and am considering changing to another make.

But I’ve got years of Live Photos I don’t want to lose. Although I’m also fed up with the ridiculous price they’ve put now charge foriCloud up to store them.

I’m assuming there’s no way I can keep those photos and view live elsewhere? Individually converting them to little videos with something like motion stills would be very time consuming.

Addendum: On any other device that's not a Mac or iPhone or iPad the live photos will be converted to a 2 second movie file and a photo, both with the same file name but different extensions. You need an Apple Photos library to join them into a live photo.

Live photos only will exhibit the "live" action on an iPhone or a Mac. If you don't have an Mac then you'll need to get an iPhone with more storage.

Another option is to use an external drive like The PhotoStick. There are others available by searching for "external storage for iPhone". You'll have to do your due diligence and make sure what you are about to purchase will work with your particular iPhone.
