How to Get a Replacement for My Broken Apple USB-C Wired Headphones?

I recently purchased Apple’s wired USB-C headphones (within the last week), but unfortunately, they have broken. I’d like to know the process for getting a replacement.

• Since it’s still within the return/replacement window, should I go through Apple Support or the retailer where I purchased them?

• Does Apple’s warranty cover this type of issue?

• Has anyone gone through a similar replacement process, and if so, what’s the fastest way to get a new pair?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

The "14-days of purchase" policy requires that the Apple device you return is not damaged. If by "broken" you mean that they stopped working, then you should be able to return them for a replacement for free.

On the other hand, if it is past the return policy time frame, and they are damaged, the standard Apple one-year hardware warranty only covers manufacturing defects. It does not cover damage caused by the user. As such, you will have to purchase a replacement pair at your cost.
