Latest update installed email categories with horsy icons. I have an IPhone 12 Mini and have followed directions to switch to view list and to remove contact photos. I still can’t get rid of them Help!!!

Open Mail
Tap on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the screen
Tap on List View
What happens?

We are not talking about the Icons yet.
When you tap on the 3 dots....do you have Categories or List View selected? List View is probably what you have been viewing in the past.
Forgetting about the icons for now......we will get to them next.....does everything else look normal?
If you have selected either Category or List View.......
Tap Settings
Scroll all the way down and tap on Apps
Select and tap on Mail
Turn Off Show Contact Photos
The order of the emails seems to change, but the category icons remain. Thanks!
