Magic Mouse Added in Bluetooth Prefs, but not found in Mouse Preferences Monterey 12.7.6
Older magic mouse after a long season of frequent disconnects became so frequently disconnected that I finally bought a new magic mouse. It connected via bluetooth (System Preferences>Bluetooth) with no problem and I can move the cursor and left-click but no other gestures. In System Preferences>Mouse>SetUp Bluetooth Mouse, I get "No mouse found." Seems odd given that the mouse is actually moving the cursor around the screen. So I can't really fully set up the mouse's features that make it, well, "magic."
I've turned the magic mouse off and deleted it from Bluetooth prefs, restarted computer and turned mouse back on with no difference in results.
I've turned my old magic mouse on and it discovered it and allowed me to set up gestures, etc. But not the new mouse. It is a software or hardware compatibility issue? Why doesn't the new magic mouse work properly on my mac?
