My photos in library disappeared

Can't remeber doing anything different. They just vanished.

Photos Disappeared when I was selecting multiple I was holding down command button to select multiple individual photos from an album to upload for Harvey Norman photo centre, I took my finger off command button and all the selected photos disappeared. They are not in recently deleted can't find them anywhere!! Can anyone please help :)

How can I recover my Photo library after deletion? Somehow when I was deleting some old files my photo app ended up in the trash aswell. I’ve tried ‘putting back’ but it constantly says preparing to move and doesn’t actually move. It’s a 105gb file and was preparing to move for 4 days which isn’t right. Why can’t I and how do I move it back? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Have you more than one Library perhaps?

Hold down the option key and launch Photos. Is there more than one library listed there?

Thank you for your help. That was the problem. Somehow I switched to the wrong library. Thanks again.
