Preview Export Selected Images only compresses first selected photo

This has been asked before and last I heard it seemed to be a problem up to at least 14.5. I'm on an M1 on 12.7 and it's not working here, tho is fine on an older Intel iMac running 12.6.9 does this job fine.

So, is there any kind of fix? A workaround? Something?

Preview app on iMac not saving resized JPG images I'm trying to edit a photo in the Preview app on an iMac. All I want to do is adjust the size of a JPG photo. Tools > Adjust Size... I uncheck Resample Image, change height, width and resolution. Click save, and close. When I reopen the photo, the original size comes back. I've tried numerous times with the same result. Even if I select File > Export... the same thing happens. This does NOT happen if I change the file type to TIFF. Preview is not exporting to any format After Sonoma update, preview opens 16-bit gray images but it is not exporting them to any format and is giving error messages (see pictures). I was expecting them to solve the problem in MacOS14.3 but they did not. I made a workaround by pasting the images to keynote and exporting from there, but it is really annoying because I have to reopen, rename and crop them back in Preview, when I could just cut and export directly from Preview in past versions. Why make something simple so complex?

New update prevents resize when exported in PHOTOS Until today, I've been able to choose a custom size to export images from PHOTOS desktop. I'm on Mac mini M4 Pro. My support call rep said it happened in a recent update with no explanation as to why or a work around. I use this feature constantly. Does anyone know the best work around? I need to export to save to my desktop folder as 1200 wide pixels. Thank you!

Just to add, if you're really on 12.7, update to 12.7.6.

Well, Monterey is no longer supported so if it is a problem with 12.7.6, it will not be fixed.
