iPhone 16 recognising sims but no signal

Hello. I have just got a new iPhone 16 256gb. When I insert my SIM card (and any other SIM card - I have tried a couple) although it is recognising there is a SIM card (I.e. in mobile network it shows what network the sims are on), it is showing there is no signal and I cannot use it for data/messages/call. I have tried doing a factory reset and network settings reset, tried turning aeroplane mode on off multiple times but have had no such luck in getting it working.

Has anyone had this issue and found a fix?

Just replying in case this helps anyone in the future with a similar issue.

It turns out that my phone was actually blacklisted before being given to my network provider (three) who I purchased the device from. After a couple of conversations back and forth about the issues they checked their blacklist and sent a request to remove from black list, just over 48hours later it became fully working!
