18.3.1 update - no notification sounds on mail app

So, will an Apple update ever fix the problem they caused with update 18? Ever since - up to and including 18.3.1 - I’ve lost notification sounds on mail app. I’ve tried everything suggested despite never having changed any settings. Sounds are correct. Notifications are correct. Focus is correct. Accessibility motion is correct. Face ID attention aware feature correct. Mail app deleted numerous times and reinstalled. Turned off or rebooted until I’m sick of doing it. I’m not stupid. The problem isn’t me or my phone, it’s bugs in the update. It’s not right that Apple are leaving users without essential features for their products. I use notification sounds ALOT……at least I used to! Apple, please seek a resolution to this problem and GET IT FIXED.
