Unable to send MMS to Android from my iPhone 16

I have an iPhone 16, just updated to iOS 18, now I can’t send mms to android. Mobile data is on, mms enabled, photos and messages turned in for mobile data. Any suggestions?

I still have this issue. It’s only to android and it’s intermittent, I can’t work out what changes when it stops sending. It can stop in the same day as I was earlier sending photos to the same person. I won’t be getting a new iPhone in future, I’ll stick to getting ones a few years old, when the bugs are worked out!

If you actually deleted the VPN profile and not just the app, then there are two things you can do:

  • Open Settings
    • Tap General
    • Tap Transfer or Reset Phone
    • Tap  Reset
    • Tap Reset Network Settings

    • This will erase all Wi-Fi passwords, but will not result in any other data loss.

And if that fails to fix it contact your carrier.

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.

I have tried everything. Apple screwed up my MMS with iOS 18.3. I’m hoping they see all the issues everyone is having and send out an update to resolve issue.

That is a common refrain, and it’s meaningless. Actually, very few people are having a problem with MMS.

Did you delete the VPN PROFILE, Not just be app? And do you have cellular Data on?,

Yes I deleted vpn profile and cellular data is on. I have done all the things in this stream.

My husband also has same issue since iOS 18.3.

My other daughter hasn’t updated her phone as she wants to still be able to MMS her sister.

Does android have to have RCS. If it doesn’t shouldn’t MMS still work?

I even went to Att store and they checked phone. Couldn’t solve issue so referred me to phone Att tech support line. I called and end result is they claim it’s an iOS 18 issue.

I have deleted VPN profile, I have not reinstated it in several months. Logging out and then back in of my Apple ID sometimes works for few days, sometimes turning off iMessages works, sometimes it doesn’t. There doesn’t seem to be pattern. I can be away from wifi and it sends. Later that same day, still off wifi and it won’t send. Do I need to be pointing north with my tongue sticking out maybe?

This is mind boggling. Last night I once again turned RCS off and back on. Did same with other some other settings MMS, VPN, WIFI etc. Issue became worse. I now then cant send to any android. Before it worked for other friends just not my daughter.

The really crazy thing is that my husbands iPhone shows Text message dot RCS in the message bubble to same friend so his is working. My phone shows text message dot SMS and doesn’t work.

All my settings are back to what they were.

The Text message dot RCS and Text message dot SMS in the message bubble is the indicator.

so my question remains does android have to allow RCS. Shouldn’t MMS work if android doesn’t use RCS. It must have been working like that before iOS 18.3.
