How do I manually add self to people folder in Photo Library on iPhone 16?

My I-phone 16 will not allow me to add myself to my people folder in photo library. How do I do this?

Photos scans all the pictures to find things it recognizes as faces, and then it lets you name some. Then others that look like that get the same name. Things that are not recognized as faces by Photos cannot be named.

So, you need a picture of yourself, with most of your face visible, and not too tiny, so that Photos can see a face, there. Then you can name yourself, and it will make an album for you.

If there are recognized faces in a picture, then the info window will have little face icons. When you pick one

you can choose to name that person.
