How can I know AppleCare coverage and expiration date for a refurbished iPhone?

Since I purchased a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro (80% new) from PChome, I would like to know if it originally had AppleCare coverage and the coverage expiration date.

If you want to know if it originally had Apple Care go to Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty, then tap your device.

Since it's a used device I don't know if it will show anything or not. My guess likely not.

Not unless an AppleCare+ plan was set up on the iPhone that is still in effect, and Apple's coverage screen should say that. The standard warranty would have expired back in September of 2023. If not and it still shows as the warranty being in effect, I would have to suspect that the serial number may have been altered, though it may just be a database error. Does the device information on that page correctly reflect the model of iPhone you have?

Regards.

If the phone needs service, and an authorized shop still honors the warranty, you will be very lucky. I suppose it is possible that the original customer might have purchased an extended AppleCare+ warranty.

Take the phone to an authorized Apple repair shop and ask them to check the warranty status of the phone. That's really the only way for you to know about the warranty.

When the phone was originally sold by an authorized dealer when new, it certainly would have been covered by the standard one year AppleCare warranty. That warranty would have expired after a year.

Since the phone was refurbished, there is no way to know when the phone was originally sold, so there is also no way to know when the warranty expired.

If you had purchased a genuine refurbished phone from an authorized Apple reseller, the phone would have come with a new one year warranty.

Frankly, I am not sure how you can know that the phone really was refurbished by an authorized Apple company, but if the Battery Health was 100% when you bought the phone, at least a new battery was installed.
