Help creating 3d line and 3d background.

Hi there,

I'm trying to recreate a couple of elements in the following clip:

1. The moving line.
2. The moving background.

I'm having trouble.

I've tried to create the line in Motion.

What I notice about the first line:

• It looks like it is a line that has a glow effect.
• The line itself has some blur and the tip and tail
• It sort of tapers off
• There's a glowing white ember at the front

The background:

• There's the vertical lines
• The less frequent horizontal lines
• And the whole thing moves in space.

Can anyone help me figure out how to recreate these elements and then give me tips on how to use the camera to make them move in 3d space?
