It's something you can easily do yourself:

Move from Android to iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

As it may take some time, it's probably easier to do it at home rather than standing around in a crowded Apple Store.

You combine the data with the existing account by signing into the same Apple ID that's being used in the iPad on the new iPhone.

As per Google Gemini, sorted

Transferring data from an Android device to an iPhone is a common task, and having an existing account on an iPad can actually simplify the process. Here's a breakdown of how to do it:

1. Preparation

* Make sure your Android device is charged. The transfer process can take some time, so it's important to have enough battery.

* Ensure both your Android and iPhone are connected to Wi-Fi. A stable internet connection is crucial for a smooth transfer.

* Check if your Android content will fit on your iPhone. You can check the storage space on both devices to make sure there's enough room.

2. Using your existing iPad account

* Turn on your iPhone and begin the setup process. Follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the "Apps & Data" screen.

* Select "Move Data from Android". This will prompt you to download the "Move to iOS" app on your Android device.

* Download the "Move to iOS" app on your Android device. This app is available on the Google Play Store and is specifically designed for this transfer process.

* Follow the instructions in the "Move to iOS" app. It will generate a code that you'll need to enter on your iPhone.

* Select the content you want to transfer. You can choose to transfer contacts, messages, photos, videos, web bookmarks, mail accounts, and calendars.

* Wait for the transfer to complete. This may take some time depending on the amount of data you're transferring.

3. Setting up your iPhone

* Once the transfer is complete, you can finish setting up your iPhone. You'll be able to sign in with your existing Apple ID that you use on your iPad.

* Your data from your iPad will be available on your iPhone. This includes things like your iCloud data, App Store purchases, and Apple Music library.

Additional tips

* You can also transfer data manually. If you prefer, you can transfer some data manually, such as photos and videos, by connecting both devices to a computer.

* Consider using cloud storage. Services like Google Drive or Dropbox can be used to transfer data between devices.

* If you have any trouble, Apple Support can help. They have resources and guides available online or you can contact them directly.

By following these steps, you can successfully transfer your data from your Android device to your new iPhone, while leveraging your existing iPad account for a streamlined experi

Thanks

Will that also work with the move to iOS app

I may need store support as I am 200 miles away and mother in law is 75

The instructions I provided are for the Move to iOS app. If your mother wants help with in the store, she should try to arrange a time when it is less likely to be busy (e.g. not Saturday morning).

At least 50% of the most active, knowledgeable contributors in this community are older than your mother (and I'm not much younger). There is no causal relationship between your mother's age and her technical knowledge.
