MacBook Air can not find printers on local network

MacBook Air is a new addition

MacBook Pro and MacBook Air on the same WiFi network

MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are running Sequoia 15.3.1

MacBook Pro and MacBook Air both have internet access through WiFi

got printer addresses from wifi router

HP 1320 wired

192.168.0.230

EPSON ET-4850 wireless

192.168.0.102

MacBook Pro can print to both printers.

on the MacBook Air::

can ping both these addresses

System Settings \ Printers & Scanners \ Add Printer, Scanner or Fax

nothing shows in the available printers list

If I select <IP> and enter the HP's address

select <Generic PCL Printer> and select [ADD]

** Unable to communicate with the printer at this time **

** Still want to create this printer **

[Yes] (why not ...)

Tried printing a page to the HP

gave no error, says it's printing, but printer is not responding

the printer give no indication of an incoming task and printed nothing

Also ... the router shows no packets went to the HP printer

Yes, I have powered everything off (modem, router, computers, printers)

and back on. No change.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.3
