Restore From Backup Option Is Missing.

I have a 2nd Generation iPad Pro and I accidentally deleted some important artwork in Procreate. I have an iCloud Backup, and in the past, there has been an option to restore from backup, which I have done previously. I recently took a software update - iPadOS 17.7.5 - and now that option no longer exists where it normally would. I have looked everywhere within Settings, accessed iCloud through a Web Browser to see if maybe I could restore the lost artwork from there and nothing. I am an Android and Windows guy, so I have no idea of where to turn next, so I appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

The iCloud Backup feature is designed to work as a whole device Restore. It's not possible to pick & choose areas to restore unfortunately.

Maybe the Procreate files are not in a Backup but rather in iCloud Drive. Have you checked on your iCloud Drive if you can find the Procreate files, possibly in the Documents folder of iCloud Drive. You can also access your iCloud Drive through https://icloud.com and log in via your Apple ID.

This is the place where your file might still be located.

If you don't find them on iCloud Drive, I would recommend to do a full restore from iCloud Backup, which presumably includes your Procreate files, if you have had your iPad backed up recently via iCloud Backup. The process would be invoked through Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings. Follow the onscreen instructions to erase your iPad. This will wipe all current data, so only do this if you’re sure your iCloud Backup contains the lost artwork.

As you are reinstalling your device, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and sign in with your Apple ID. Select the most recent backup that should include your Procreate files.

Thank you for the response. I should have worded that better in my initial post, that is what I want to do - a full device restore, as they are not located in the areas that you mentioned - so thank you for that. I didn’t have to utilize those steps in the past, but I will go ahead and do so, worth the risk for the potential retrieval.
