Location not showing on some photos & videos
Some photos and videos show the location of where the photo/ video was taken. But some don’t have the location recorded. Why is this?

This can happen, if your iPhone has not been able to receive the signal from the GPS satellites., for example, if you are in a narrow street between very high buildings, or inside a large building with thick walls, far away from the windows. In some museums my iPhone does not record the GPS position, also in a cave.
Sometimes the locations are taken from nearby wifi signals, if the GPS cannot be received.
You can add a location manually, if you know the location. See photo and video information on iPhone - Apple Support (GU)
For photos and videos in Shared albums, the locations are stripped, when the items are shared. This is is for privacy reasons, so we are not giving away our location accidentally when sharing photos.
Just to be sure - you have enabled the location services for the Camera.app? Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services. Set this for "Camera" to "When using the app".
