Issues on my iPhone 12 Pro after updating to iOS 18.3.1

Since completing the update I cannot control downtime for my children's phones through Family in settings, it just freezes. I have figured out a workaround, but it is very annoying. Apple TV app won't even load, just goes to a white screen and freezes. Settings takes forever come up and trying to do anything takes a long time with lagging. And all the while the battery is getting HOT when it never did that before. I have restarted my phone multiple times and have checked for updates for the apps not working, including Apple TV, I have done all the trouble-shooting things and nothings fixes the issues. When is Apple going to fix the multiple problems this update has caused? I have noticed that I am not the only one having issues, this is VERY FRUSTRATING.

Then you may have to consider wiping and restoring from your backup.

The iOS 18.3.1 update itself is likely not cause of your issues as tens of millions of users have updated without any problems. Unfortunately in life sometimes things go off the rails for no reason. There may have been an existing glitch on your iPhone that caused the update to go south.

If you are not comfortable with restoring your device by yourself you could contact Apple Support or take the phone to an Apple Store or authorized Apple service provider for assistance.

Gmail is not syncing the Inbox on my iPhone SE 3rd generation. I just get a smaller, random assortment of emails to my inbox. I've deleted Gmail twice but it did not help.

Wiping IOS 18.3.1 and reinstalling does not fix the issues I’ve experienced. Wiping ipadOS 18.3.1 and restoring does not cure either. Installing IOS 18.4 and ipadOS 18.4 betas cures the problems I’ve experienced. Draw whatever inferences you’d like.

18.3.1 Hate it all!!! Messages, emojis, photos, settings, emails… I hate it and wish I had automatic updates disabled but now I need to keep it on so hopefully it fixes this rubbish!

Side question… Does anyone from Apple actually read this feedback or care??!!
