Is 40% charge in 30 minutes normal for iPhone 16?
Is a 40% charge in 30 minutes normal for an iPhone 16 charged with a 20 adapter. Apple says that during this time there should be a charge of 50%.

A number of factors affect charge rate including background activity, screen being on, screen brightness, annd battery condition etc. The 50% estimate assumes minimal activity.
Look at what was consuming battery capacity during the time you were charging your iPhone.
