I have a good working old laser printer, Samsung ML 1670 and it is working well.I run a MBP 370GB, 25 Jan
My question:
Can I use AirPrint to use the printer over mij home network when using AirPrint?
How to connect this printer to the net?
Can I use my Airport time capsule to connect the printer to the network. and subsequently print wireless?
Please advise

Samsung printer products are now owned by HP, and specs and such can be somewhat of an adventure.

That printer is circa 2007, USB-only, and lacks AirPrint.
There were (are?) some external JetDirect devices that can add some network access into a USB printer, but those tend to be most of the price of a new printer. And the HP JetDirect external models don’t support AirPrint, AFAIK.
There are potential options, if you fancy some integration work, and which may or may not meet your needs.
Another option is running an AirPrint server on Windows or such, and apparently also with older Synology. Synology also gets Time Machine server, which is useful for network backups of Macs.

One way could be to use a Raspberry Pi as a print server with AirPrint-like capabilities. The idea here is to try to make printing from a modern Mac or an iPhone/iPad possible without additional drivers/software (a USB-only printer would then act as if it were a "real" AirPrint model).
