Always check the exact (minimum and recommended) system requirements. Both hardware (processor, memory, et cetera) and operating system version. The requirements should be on the box. Also, please note that a standard iMac G3 did not have a DVD optical drive.
There were a few emulators available for older Macintosh computers. For example, SoftWindows and Virtual PC. These could be used to run Windows programs on a Mac, possibly even some simple games, but would not be suitable for more demanding applications. If you want to run Windows games, use an appropriate real PC.
