Why is my MacBook Pro A1708 failing to install macOS?

I have this 2017 macbook pro ( A1708 ) that needs a OS installed. I completely wiped the drive , and now it just fails to install ANY version of OSX. I made a bootable USB , booted up from it , and when i install , it starts , gets to like " 15 mins left " , then the macbook restarts and goes right back to the bootable USB ( where it shows recover from time machine , install new os , disk partition " and its just an endless loop from there. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the SSD is failing. The SSD on the MBPro 2016 & 2017 non-touchbar model has an extremely high rate of failure which tends to show up when powering on the laptop or waking from sleep. A reboot would be included in when such a failure is likely to show up.

You can replace the bad SSD with a third party OWC SSD, but I don't recommend spending any money on this laptop (or any 2016-2020 Intel Mac with USB-C ports) for multiple reasons. The money spent on repairs is better put towards a new laptop.
