I'm not exactly sure what you mean when saying boosted. Perhaps you can provide details?
You can check the battery health by opening Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity. If the Maximum Capacity percentage is 80% or less, then according to Apple, the battery should be replaced.
