AirPods low ring volume
when AirPods are in, I can barely hear the phone ring. Voice volume is fine, but how do we adjust the ring volume of an AirPod? FYI - I’ve brought it to the Apple Store and they have no idea.

I suggest that you give the following a try:
- Check iPhone's ringtone volume. Go to: Settings → Sounds & Haptics. Under “Ringtone and Alerts”, make sure the volume slider is set to a high level. Toggle off “Change with Buttons” if you want the ringtone to stay at a fixed volume, regardless of your media volume.
- Ensure AirPods are set as the audio output, While AirPods are connected, swipe down for Control Center. Tap the AirPlay icon in the media panel and ensure your AirPods are selected. Play a song or video, adjust the volume, and then test the ring again.
- Disable “Attention Aware Features” (For Face ID Devices). Go to: Settings → Face ID & Passcode. Turn off “Attention Aware Features”. This feature lowers alert volumes when your iPhone detects that you're looking at the screen — but it sometimes affects AirPods ringing volume too. (Note: I'm only going by my notes on this one as I don't have a Face ID capable iPhone.)
- Try a different ringtone to see if this helps. Radar or Reflection would be good choices for this test.
Finally, if not of the above help, I suggest that you reset your AirPods.
