My MacBook had coffee spilled on the keyboard. All keys work except the 3. I have a 3 in my password so I cannot even get on the computer. If I get a compatible number keypad or full keyboard and plug it in, will I be able to use it to enter my password and get on the computer?

Yes. if you plug in a USB keyboard you should be able to login to the computer. It doesn't have to be a Mac keyboard, even a PC keyboard will work.
