How can I keep closed captioning at the bottom of the screen?

I view Apple TV + thru the streaming app on my TCL TV

Frequently, the closed captioning is positioned in the middle or top third of the screen.

Of course, this often obscures a central part of the image.

I don't see any option to position the closed captioning within the Apple TV settings.

Any advice or suggestions on how to keep closed captioning at the bottom of the screen

I think the subtitles and/or closed caption are supposed to be mostly at the bottom of the screen, center aligned. It may get pushed up a bit if other overlay controls are shown.

There may be occasional reason for other placement, when the bottom center isn’t practical, but that should be an exception.

Can you supply an example Apple TV+ show where this happens (including time stamp)? Thanks.

There are no controls for placement. There are styling options for subtitles and closed captions under Accessibility settings, but that doesn’t include position.
