How do I fix Face ID issue and reset it on my iPhone?

I got on my phone and logged in with Face ID, then I got multiple pop up notifications about how there was an issue with Face ID. I went to settings like it was directing me to do, and it said that my coverage expired. I didn’t think anything of it because having my coverage expire shouldn’t change my Face ID, right? Then I go to the Face ID and password and reset my Face ID, but then it wouldn’t let me create a new one. Here is a picture.



I already checked to see if there were any updates I was missing and there aren’t.

There may be something wrong with your TrueDepth camera. Please review the following support articles. 


If Face ID isn't working on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

If an alert says Face ID has an issue on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support


If the above doesn’t help, please make a reservation at your nearest Apple Store Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider for diagnostics.
