Why can't I sign in to Apple TV on my Samsung TV?

I just subscribed to Apple TV. I got an email confirmation that I subscribed. I went to my Samsung tv to sign in. I put in my apple account username and password (which is extremely long and weird). My tv accepted both. It brought me to a button that said, "Start Watching". I pressed the button with my remote. It brought me back to the sign in and the whole process was done again, and again and again. In circles. Please help anyone.
