Yes, I use my old SuperDrive without issues on my M1 Studio Max running macOS 15.3.1 Sequoia. You’ll need to plug it in to a USB port on your Mac, not a hub. If your Mac has only USB-C ports then you’ll need a USB-A to USB-C adapter. Apple sells one on their stores or online.
