Apple Notes hangs repeatedly

I am using Apple Notes on IMac Retina 5k 27" 2019 with Sequoia 15.3.1 (most recent version).

Notes are synchronized on iCloud to other devices. I have more than 700 notes and use the app a lot for text mainly.

There are two issues:

a) Notes hangs completely every other day. It is listed as "not reacting" and I have to shut it down via command - option - esc. This is the more concerning issue.

b) Sometimes on a longer note (extending over several pages) there is a "funny" behavior while typing new text. The cursor is jumping to other positions and the typed text is added in random positions. (the mouse it not used).
