How much onboard storage does the new iMac have? I can't find any specs. Is all storage in iCloud?

I am looking to upgrade from a MacBook Pro with 1TB SSD, to a new iMac. I can find no information about iMac onboard storage.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7

You did not look, it's right on Apple iMac Page under Tech Specs. https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac

You can purchase them with as little as 256GB and as much as 2TB, all storage is SSD storage like all the other Macs currently available.

For the 24" M4 iMacs, Apple shows the available storage options once on the Technical Support page – and again on the actual ordering page(s). The options vary depending on which 'stock' model you buy – or use as a starting point for custom-ordering.

Note that while you can add external storage to the M4 iMac, there is no way to expand either RAM or the internal SSD after ordering. I would suggest getting at least 512 GB of internal storage even if you intend to keep much of your bulk data on an external SSD.
